The RoverComputers Group is an independent group of companies based in The Russian Federation capitol, Moscow.
The Principle activity of the Group is the manufacture and distribution of consumer and commercial electronics and technology under several brand names including RoverBook, RoverMate, RoverPC, RoverShot and RoverLight to name a few.
The beginnings of RoverComputers dates back to the early 1990's when in 1991 RoverComputers was established as a PC service and repairs facility. By 1995 RoverComputers had released its first Laptop Computer based on the Intel 486 CPU and in the process establishing the RoverBook brand as well as producing Russias first ever Russian made line of notebooks. During this process RoverComputers became the first OEM partner of the Intel Corporation in Russia and today remains the only locally manufactured Laptop available on the Russian market.
Competing successfully with global brands, RoverComputers retains a significant share of Russian Notebook sales with several hundred thousand Laptops being produced annualy for the domestic market alone.
On the back of the success of the RoverBook brand in several countries, in 2002 RoverComputers established the brands RoverMedia and RoverPC. This involved significant investment, establishing new factories in Asia and expanding the existing facility to the largest of its kind in Russia. The result was a cutting edge line of media consumables including MP3 players, PDA's and an industry leading range of smartphones.
Among the corporate clients of the RoverComputers Group are The Office of the Russian President, The Ministry of Internal affairs, Russian Railways and the Central Bank of Russia. As the leading Russian IT company RoverComputers holds certification for compliance with international quality standards and management structures (ISO 9000) as well as several prestigious industry awards and accolades.
With a large distribution and sales network established throughout Eastern Europe and Asia combined with significant investment in innovative technologies, RoverComputers Group continues to grow strongly. In 2009 RoverComputers plans to expand it's range of Notebooks and computer accessories, Smartphones, Mp3 players, cameras and peripherals to the Australasian and African markets with South America to follow in 2010. |
